Today marks the end to the 2019-2020 academic year. Just when you think you have seen it all, tomorrow will bring a challenge and a new opportunity! I want to thank everyone for trying to make the most of this unprecedented time. I encourage each of you to continue practicing safe measures and continue working with your children to prepare them for the fall semester. At this time, we are scheduled to begin August 13, 2020. We all know that nothing is certain in the days, weeks, and months ahead. Every week brings new predictions and projections of start dates for the economy as well as the 2020-21 school year from Governor Stitt and the OSDE. Working together and exercising personal responsibility will get us back to something we can recognize as normal. At this time, our facilities remain closed and summer activities remain cancelled.
We will celebrate our Senior Graduating Class of 2020 on Sunday May 17th with a parade on main street following the 2 p.m. Commencement Exercises held in the CPS Auditorium that will be closed to the general public. However, it will be Live-streamed and the link can be found on the CPS web page. We hope the weather cooperates and everyone can enjoy a joyous time in the accomplishments of our Graduating Seniors. The Eighth Grade class will be recognized when we safely return to campus in August.
Again, I congratulate each of you and wish everyone a safe and healthy summer.
