Oklahoma schools are making history. The statewide delivery of distance learning is unprecedented and is a testament to the dedication and commitment of education leaders, teachers, other education employees, families
and communities. Education has always been a partnership, and that's never been more true than it is today.
Watching school employees deliver meals over the last two weeks and preparing for the launch of distance learning has been humbling and inspiring.
I would like to thank everyone for keeping the needs of our state's children at the forefront in this challenging time.
It is important to recognize those who are working daily to meet the needs of students. This includes the delivery of lessons at home. Thank you parents! As we enter into week two of our extended learning plan, we invite
any parent who has materials to return to school to please bring them during meal service times on Monday and Wednesday April 20 and April 22 between the hours of 11:30 to 12:30.
We want to remind everyone that work will be accumulated, assessed, and evaluated. Oklahoma schools have been instructed by the OSDE that no student's grade can be negatively impacted for work completed during
school closure caused by COVID-19. This is an excellent time for students to improve their grade in any subject. We ask that everyone take this opportunity to continue learning and make the best of this extraordinary time.
